Lemurs live on Madagascar a small island off the coast of Africa. Ring-tailed lemurs are limited to forests in the southern portion of the island. They eat a variety of plant material, fruit, flowers and herbs. Ring-tails live in groups of up to 20 individuals. Though they are protected in some area, deforestation is a threat to others in the range.
